“Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.”Psalms 107:1 Our hearts are full of thankfulness at Community Church Ministry! First of all, we are grateful to God that He enabled us to do 10 Easter egg hunts/ cookouts. The last 2 were in Rockmart, where we had never gone before. There were raindrops here and there, but God held the hard rains off for another time. Second of all, we are grateful to all who came and helped, working unselfishly, giving up their time. If I start mentioning names, I might leave someone out. If you are reading this and you came to help. Thank you. May God reward you 100 fold! Last but not least, thanks to all who gave, and to all who prayed. God will bless your giving. Prayer is the backbone of any successful ministry. Accept our sincere thanks.

Ready, set, go… Wait, am I actually in a race? How am I going to finish? It’s too long! Many years, and pounds ago, I ran cross country and track in high school and part of college. (I was a distance runner, not a sprinter!) If I thought about the whole race at one time, I would have been in despair. The same is true in life, we can easily get overwhelmed if we think about all that we have to accomplish. The key is to live every day, and set goals along the way. The Bible says in Hebrews 12:1 “Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.”Run with endurance… That’s what Community Church Ministry is doing during this marathon month of Easter egg hunts. As I’m writing this, we are preparing to go to:
Ashland Park Apartments tomorrow at 12, and
Willingham Village at 2.
Then: Willow Way Apartments 4/15 @ 6:30.
Pine Village 4/18 @ 6:30.
We finish on 4/20 with 2 in Rockmart.

Community Church Ministry March Newsletter March madness…. What comes to mind is the annual basketball tournament. But it can also refer to one’s own hurried pace of life this month. The days are getting longer and we lose an hour of sleep with the time change. Community Church Ministry is getting ready for a busy April, in which we are prayerfully planning 9 Easter egg hunts/ cookouts. We hope to have a confirmed schedule soon. Please check our website and our Facebook page in the near future for the schedule. Prayer is our biggest need. Please pray earnestly for open doors, workers, lives to be changed, and for no rain. Second, we need you and your group to volunteer at one of our events. Third, bags of individually wrapped candy for the treat bags.
