“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”1 Thessalonians 5:18
Everything? Sometimes we don’t want to give thanks. Especially when life gets hard… We want to gripe and complain.
Who is the author of this verse? The apostle Paul. Once he became a Christian, his life got tough. Imprisoned, beaten, mistreated for the cause of Christ. Most likely he penned this from the prison, which was much like a dungeon.
So, if Paul can be thankful “in” all things, why can’t we? When we are continually thankful, and pray, we feel the peace of God which passes all understanding.
In this month of Thanksgiving, Community Church Ministry is busy doing Thanksgiving dinners in 5 different neighborhoods.
And, we are making preparations to do 10 Christmas parties! We are in need of individually wrapped candies and snack cakes. Also, volunteers to help with these events. The first one will be a “triple header” on December 2nd. We don’t expect you to be at all of them. Any time you can help is appreciated! The schedule is on our website and on our Facebook page.

October Community Church Ministry Newsletter
Fall is here. The days are getting shorter. The nights are getting longer. And we at Community Church Ministry are getting busier!
In September, we partnered with Hollywood Baptist Church to do a Fall Festival at Banty Jones Park in Rome. We were blessed that so many came to the event. We had a great time of fun and fellowship at the park as we shared the message of God’s love.
Our calendar for this month is getting full as we gear up for a busy schedule of dinners:
6:30 p.m. – Thursday, Oct. 12 and 26 – Dutch Gardens MHP.
6:30 p.m. – Monday, Oct. 23 – Callier Forrest Apartments.
6:30 p.m. – Monday, Oct. 30, Willow Way Apartments.
Fast forward to November and we have plans for Thanksgiving dinners in five communities. And just one short month after that Christmas parties in 10 communities!
We are praising God for all of the doors opening to this ministry. And with more opportunities, yes, we definitely need your help. Please remember us and prayerfully consider giving of your time and resources as we continue to reach our community for Christ. We could not do what we do without each one of you supporting us as the Lord leads you.

The Fall Festival is our biggest event of the year. We are partnering with Hollywood Baptist, but we can always use additional help.
