(Who We Really Are; CommunityChurch Ministry is a non-profit organization that goes to neighborhoods in Floyd County… Mobile home parks and apartments… Why? Not everyone is going to church…Many people work on Sundays… Some have fallen out of the habit, or don’t have transportation. As a result, many are not hearing the Good News of salvation through Jesus Christ…Including children… Our next-generation...We talk to children about making the right decisions. Avoiding peer pressure and letting them know they are special. It means meeting some physical needs too…We serve food at every event… At back to school time, we give away basic school supplies. Christmas means warm hoodies for the kids and other gifts. Easter… Lots of candy!
We try to bring neighborhoods together... In a day when we don’t know our neighbors, our aim is to get folks out of the house and enjoying each other.
**** The concept is simple… We go to where people live… Feed them, love them, and share God’s love. These folks are precious!
*** We are a small non-profit ministry, with a small group of volunteers. We usually do most activities on Mondays, Thursdays, and some Saturdays. We are always looking for new volunteers! Come hang out with us!
What do you see when you look out of your window at home? At church? Are there several houses that you can see from your vantage point? Several apartments? Perhaps you see mobile homes…
No matter what you see, one thing is clear. This is your mission field. You have the opportunity to show God’s love to your neighborhood.
Take a deep breath. Yes, it’s possible. You are not alone in this. Community Church Ministry has been ministering in several communities in Floyd County for over 5 years.
So, give us a call. We will help you pray about it, and help get you started reaching your neighborhood. It’s easier than you think…
If you drove by cornfield a few months ago, you wouldn’t have seen any corn, only small plants. Now, the plants are bigger and are close to being ready for harvest.
Community Church Ministry plants the seeds of God’s love and plan of redemption in all seasons of the year. This month, we would like to invite you to come join the harvest. We do community dinners on Mondays and Thursdays in several communities in Rome. The need is for volunteers to help set up tables and chairs, serve food, or just hang out and talk with the sweet folks in the neighborhood in attendance.
This would be an opportunity for you to “ready for harvest.”
The cool part about it is that you don’t have to miss your church on Sunday and we don’t expect you to be there every week.
