March Community Church Ministry Newsletter

March Community Church Ministry Newsletter

A couple of years ago, we did an Easter egg hunt at Park Homes Apartments in Rome.

To tell the story of Christ, I use a set of 12 plastic eggs. Inside each one is a little item which illustrates the story of Jesus in His last week on earth. (Actually, the twelfth one is empty, symbolizing the resurrection!)

When I came to the part about Jesus’ suffering, particularly the whip and crown of thorns, one or two of the children looked astonished and asked: “Why did Jesus have to suffer?”

Good question! I felt led to explain it this way…

“Suppose you had done something wrong, and you were about to get a spanking. Just then, someone stepped up and volunteered to take your place, and they took the punishment for you.”

Jesus took our place… He suffered and died for our sins.

“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭53:5‬ ‭

An old hymn proclaims:

“Man of Sorrows,” what a name

For the Son of God who came

Ruined sinners to reclaim!

 Hallelujah! What a Savior!”

Community Church Ministry is in the process of doing 13 Easter egg hunts this month, by God’s grace and power. We are thankful that several churches are supplying volunteers! There’s always room for more!

February Community Church Newsletter

The weather has been crazy recently, hasn’t it? Snow this past weekend, and today it felt like Spring. I guess we expect that here in Georgia!

January and February are a little slower for Community Church Ministry. We are doing 5 events this month.

Thanks be to God, the events are going well. Thanks for your prayers and financial support.

Beginning in early March, Lord willing, we will begin doing Easter egg hunts in  13 communities.

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS FOR THESE EVENTS!

We are also looking into buying hoodies for the Christmas outreach later this year.

Please continue to pray for the ministry DAILY for guidance, open doors in new communities, receptive hearts, volunteers, and church groups to help, and for finances.

Thanks! May God bless you!

“Let your eyes look directly ahead and let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you. Watch the path of your feet And all your ways will be established. Do not turn to the right nor to the left; Turn your foot from evil.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭4‬: ‭25‬-‭27‬ ‭

Have you ever tried to walk or run while looking to the side or behind you? Hint: It doesn’t end well! You are likely to end up stumbling, falling, or colliding with someone or something.

The same thing can happen as we navigate into the beginning of a new year. It’s hard to move forward when your mind is constantly on the past.

Let’s take Solomon’s advice and keep our eyes looking forward, watching the path of our feet.

I hope and pray that the Lord will make your way prosperous in the new year!

Community Church Ministry is very thankful for God’s blessings in 2025, but we are prayerfully moving forward in 2026.

We are going to 5 neighborhoods in January.

Please pray for upcoming events, for volunteers, funds for supplies, and open doors in new areas.

We are also looking into replenishing our inventory of hoodies, as we gave away over 500 in December!!!

Generally, they are marked down in the first few months of the new year. Please pray for provision for this as well.

Please contact me for more information and to network with us.

Thanks for your support of our ministry. God bless you!

Blessings!
