Community Church Ministry – November Newsletter
“Though the fig tree may not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines; though the labor of the olive may fail, and the fields yield no food; though the flock may be cut off from the fold, and there be no herd in the stalls – Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.”
— Habakkuk 3: 17-18
Thanksgiving is a choice. Giving thanks is our choice. Circumstances may not always go our way, but we can still choose to have an “attitude of gratitude.” The Bible tells us to “give thanks IN ALL things” (emphasis added). Habakkuk chose to praise God, no matter what happened. We can follow Habakkuk’s example and choose to do the same.
Community Church Ministry is grateful for every single one of you. Whether you have shown up to help us, prayed for us and / or supported us with your resources, we just want to express how thankful we are for you.
We are staying very busy during November and December, with five Thanksgiving dinners in November and 11 Christmas events in December. More details are available at our website www.communitychurchministry.com. Please check it regularly for more information. We also ask that you would consider networking with us and sharing your time and talent. Most importantly, pray with us and let us commit to constant, diligent prayer for each other.
Blessings to each of you,
Pastor George Nix.

October Community Church Ministry Newsletter
He answered and said to them, “He who has two tunics, let him give to him who has none; and he who has food, let him do likewise.” Luke 3:11 NKJV
“Tunic” is translated as “coat” in the King James and some other versions. It likely means an outer garment, something very much needed in cold weather.
It’s October. It’s fall. And it’s still been 90 degrees in recent days, but we know colder weather is coming. Many children have to stand outside to wait for the bus. The thoughts of a child out in the cold shivering … well,
it just shouldn’t be.
In December, Community Church Ministry is hosting Christmas events in 11 neighborhoods. We give each child a gift bag with candy, crayons and a coloring book. This year, we would like to be able to provide coats. If we can’t do coats, we would at least like to provide hoodies.
What I’m mainly asking for is your input. Do you know where we can purchase coats or hoodies wholesale, inexpensively? Are there other organizations doing the same thing? For us this would be a major undertaking. We might only be able to do only a few neighborhoods this year, but we serve an all-powerful God, who can supply ALL our needs.
Thanks in advance for your help. Remember to pray with us daily, and consider helping us with your time and resources.
October schedule – all times at 6 p.m.
- Thursday, October 11, Dutch Gardens MHP
- Monday, October 22, Willow Way Apartments
- Thursday, October 25, Pine Village MHP
In November we will be hosting Thanksgiving dinners in five different neighborhoods. Schedules and information for these will be available soon.
May God bless you abundantly!
Blessings!

August Community Church Ministry Newsletter
“Praise the Lord! Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.”
This first verse from the 106th chapter of Psalms reminds us of being thankful for the Lord as we begin this month of August. July was very successful for Community Church Ministry! With God’s help, we held seven back to school events. At each occasion, we held a cookout and gave out basic school supplies! What is truly amazing is that the successes were done with a small group of incredibly dedicated volunteers.
If you are reading this and you are a leader in your church or community, let me ask you a question. Do you want to reach your neighbors near you? If the answer is yes, please contact us. We would like to help you. Seriously …. we really do want to help you. It’s not about competition. It’s about working as the body of Christ to share the good news of His grace and changing lives for His glory.
