“Let your eyes look directly ahead And let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you. Watch the path of your feet And all your ways will be established. Do not turn to the right nor to the left; Turn your foot from evil.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭4‬:‭25‬-‭27‬ ‭

Have you ever tried to walk or run while you were looking to the side or behind you? Hint: It doesn’t end well! You very likely end up stumbling, falling or colliding with someone or something.

The same thing can happen as we navigate into the beginning of a new year. It’s hard to move forward when your mind is constantly on the past.

Let’s take Solomon’s advice and keep our eyes looking forward, watching the path of our feet.

I hope and pray that the Lord will make your way prosperous in the new year!

Community Church Ministry is very thankful for God’s blessings in 2023 but we are prayerfully moving forward in 2024.

We did 2 neighborhood dinners in January.

Please pray for upcoming events, for volunteers, funds for supplies and open doors in new areas

We are also looking into replenishing our inventory of hoodies, as we gave away 450  in December. Generally, they are marked down in the first few months of the new year. Please pray for provision for this as well.

Please contact me for more information and to network with us.

Thanks for your support of our ministry. God bless you!

Blessings!

October Community Church Ministry Newsletter

Several years ago, I worked part-time on the Kroger stock crew, in addition to my daytime hospice chaplain job.

When the song “Why Can’t We Be Friends” would come on the radio, I would ask my coworker Gary why we couldn’t be friends. He would always jokingly say  “‘Cause I don’t like you!”

My question for you today is not “Why can’t we be friends?”, but “Why can’t we work together?”

For some time, I have told you about our ministry, which goes into the neighborhoods to share the love of God.

You might be the pastor of a local church, involved in ministry at your church, or have another function. So, networking with us might not be on your radar.

But, let’s look at the possibilities… When you go with us into the neighborhoods, you have a chance to promote your church, and potentially get some of them to come to your fellowship.

So, please pray and think of what we can do together….

Please continue to pray with us for:

  1. Volunteers to help with the events.
  2. Good weather and receptive audiences.
  3. Resources to continue to minister.

Thanks for your prayers and continued support.

Please take care of yourself and drink lots of water!!!

Blessings,

Pastor George

August Community Church Ministry Newsletter

My heart is filled with gratitude to God as I write these words to you. Here’s why:

  1. God enabled us to do 11 back-to-school events!
  2. The weather was good for all of them except one, but some folks braved the elements.
  3. We had enough school supplies to give out and some extra for next time.
  4. God supplied enough help.
  5. Seeds were planted of which we are praying to spring up to eternal life.

We all have so much to be thankful for!

Please continue to pray for Community Church Ministry

that God would guide the scheduling, that the Lord would open doors for us, hearts to be receptive, resources, volunteers, and good weather.

Our desire is to expand into other communities. Please pray about networking with us to reach your neighborhood
