{"id":7343,"date":"2020-10-29T05:30:00","date_gmt":"2020-10-29T05:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/communitychurchministry.com\/?p=7343"},"modified":"2020-10-09T01:36:28","modified_gmt":"2020-10-09T01:36:28","slug":"the-lord-is-there","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/communitychurchministry.com\/?p=7343","title":{"rendered":"The Lord IS There"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Lord is There<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAll the way around shall be eighteen thousand cubits; and the name of the city from that day shall be: THE LORD IS THERE.\u201d Ezekiel 48:35<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Just north of Rome, GA is a little town called Subligna. Years ago I heard a story about how Subligna got it&#8217;s name. (I don&#8217;t know if it&#8217;s a true story!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the city&#8217;s founders last name was Underwood. He met with leaders of the city to decide on a name for the city. He proposed that the city be named after him. Underwood. The leaders balked at the idea. Mr. Underwood was undeterred. &#8220;How about a Latin name? Subligna!&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The leaders thought that was a good name. Definitely unique!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sub means under. Ligna means wood.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So Mr. Underwood got his wish to have the city named after him!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The name of the city mentioned in Ezekiel&#8217;s prophecy today is &#8220;The LORD is there.&#8221; Ezekiel is phophesying about the end times, giving the Hebrews hope, in the midst of their captivity in Babylon, of their return, and restoration.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Biblestudytools.com says of the city:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;&#8230; but here it is called Jehovah Shammah&#8221;, the Lord is there, or dwells there; which is to be understood of his presence in it; not in a general way, as he is in all places, and with all his creatures, continually, constantly, and everywhere working in a providential manner&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not only is this a prophecy, but it is a reminder of God&#8217;s presence. HE IS EVERYWHERE! He is providentially working out the details of your life. (Romans 8:28)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He promises His followers:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;&#8230; lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.\u201d Amen.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u202d\u202dMatthew\u202c \u202d28:20\u202c \u202d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">May you be comforted today in the assurance of God&#8217;s presence. &#8220;The LORD is there.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Lord is There \u201cAll the way around shall be eighteen thousand cubits; and the name of the city from that day shall be: THE LORD IS THERE.\u201d Ezekiel 48:35 Just north of Rome, GA is a little town called Subligna.
